What Is An Energy Audit?
Ours is a systems approach to common energy needs with simple and effective ideas about conserving and managing your energy use and lowering your monthly bills. We find that the result of an energy audit most often leads to energy savings far greater than the $75 cost of the audit itself.
What We Will Do
Sunrise Alternative Energy will conduct an energy audit in your home or business in order to discover ways of conserving energy, making your home more energy efficient and ultimately saving you money.We will assess your energy needs by studying how your home uses and loses energy and observing your personal energy requirements. Our observations and findings will be presented back to you with recommendations on steps you can take to increase your efficiency and decrease your environmental footprint.
What You Can Expect
A team of energy technicians will investigate the possible “weak-links” and strengths of your home by measuring heat exchange through the “envelope” of your home including your attic, windows and doors. We will also look at your lighting, water usage, appliances, heating & cooling equipment and other elements to determine how much energy you are using and how efficiently you are using it.We can then offer energy saving tips, efficiency upgrades, and alternative energy systems which may provide an immediate “fix” or a step towards a more efficient and sustainable future.You will receive copy of the audit complete with our assessment, recommendations, prices on services we provide as well as referrals for services we do not provide.
Things To Have When We Visit
We suggest having your monthly utility bills on hand in order for us to document your energy use. If possible, a sample of utility bills representing the yearly trend in energy usage for your home allows us to give you an even more detailed assessment.
