Residential Wind Turbines

Skystream

Sunrise Alternative Energy has installed and currently services residential wind turbines all over the state.  Considering Oklahoma’s good average annual wind speed, small wind turbines are a valid renewable energy option for supplementing the power for your home year round.

Small wind is an excellent renewable energy option for your home, but has a few limitations.  As a general rule of thumb, if you are interested in a small wind turbine you need to have at least an acre of land.  In order to have access to the most available wind energy the wind turbine will need to be mounted at least 20 feet above the highest surrounding structure.  If these requirements are met, then a small wind turbine will probably work for your home.

Residential wind turbines can be grid tied, or connected to a battery backup.  They work great in conjunction with solar electric and geothermal.  And, best of all, they provide completely clean, renewable energy for your home.
